10 Oct 2011 A study on climatic data for nearly 225 stations spread over the whole country has been carried out to determine climatic zones which may meet common basic design features in buildings and requirements of heat flow computations. The country is categorised in four major types of climates viz, hot-dry, warm-humid, temperate and cold and a sub-group “composite”. The greater part of the country falls under composite followed by warm—humid zone. Keywords: 【Get Price】
Design for climate requires that homes be designed or modified to ensure that the occupants remain thermally comfortable with minimal auxiliary heating or cooling in the climate where they are built. Passive design — working with the climate, not against it — is an important component, as are energy efficient heating and cooling systems, and smart behaviour by the occupants. Approximately 40% of household energy is used for heating and cooling to achieve thermal comfort. 【Get Price】
20 Jun 2012 Atkinson defined three major zones and three sub-groups:(1) Warm/humid equatorial; sub-group warm/humid island or trade wind climate.(2) Hot/dry desert or semi-desert; sub-group hot dry maritime desert.(3) composite or monsoon climate; sub-group tropical island climate.Warm humid climates occur in a belt extending roughly 15° either side of the equator. There is very little seasonal variation, other than the amount of rain, which is high throughoutthe year, and 【Get Price】

5 Apr 2013 Climatic regions of India The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Ministry of Power) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Sources have divided India into the following five climatic zones: composite region, hot and dry region, warm and humid region, moderate region, and cold and cloudy region (cold and sunny region). Each region has been given guidelines to design buildings to suit climate of that particular zone. Each zone is discussed below: composite region 【Get Price】
20 Dec 2017 It is, therefore, essential to investigate the better design options in terms of whole building system. Since there are number of parameters as construction material, lighting and cooling systems, water, etc. it is essential to apply an integrated approach toward green building design. The present study briefs the analysis and design approach for green building. A case study for composite climate is considered for green building design. Various alternatives for design 【Get Price】
10.1 INTRODUCTION. Rajasthan having mostly hot-dry climate zone & partly composite climate zone needs to have an integrated approach towards planning & designing of affordable, sustainable & eco-friendly buildings. Broadly affordable, sustainable & energy efficient buildings should have the following properties: 1. Should use less water. 2. Should be energy efficient. 3. Should conserve natural resources. 4. Should generate less waste. 5. Should provide healthier spaces for 【Get Price】
